Registration Guidelines

  • All international and national fees are payable in Euros (EUR) through credit card, PayPal, and bank transfer, and are quoted per person.
  • The fees for the in-person meetings cover full access to all sessions, workshops, site visits, technical tours, Congress publication materials, lunches, coffee breaks, reception dinner, and gala dinner. Meanwhile, the fees for virtual participation cover the costs of article publication as well as the expenses incurred by the organising team in the preparation and adaptation to a hybrid format.
  • ISOCARP requires that at least one of the authors of a paper or a case study pay a registration fee on or before 31 August 2021 in order to present their contribution in the Congress and for the paper to be published and included in the proceedings. Failure to register will result in withdrawal of the submission from the 57th World Planning Congress proceedings and programme. The rest of the co-authors and other participants/audiences who will register for the Congress are welcome to enjoy the same access to the Congress.
  • The Congress Team members of each track will decide on the presentation schedules, on a thematic basis, once all contributions and registration fees have been received. All full paper contributions of authors who registered for and presented during the Congress will be included in the Congress proceedings. Only paid registrations are considered confirmed
  • Authors who already presented during the ISOCARP 2020 Virtual Congress will also have the opportunity to present in-person in Doha, Qatar in November 2021, if they prefer, corresponding to the in-person Congress registration fees. The authors must, however, resubmit their abstract via the ISOCARP 2021 submission platform.
  • The author, by submitting a paper for the 2021 ISOCARP Congress, guarantees that the work submitted is original and has not been previously published. The only exception to this rule is if the work has been published in the ISOCARP 2020 Virtual Congress Proceedings.
  • We strongly recommend all participants of the 57th ISOCARP Virtual World Planning Congress to join ISOCARP as a member or to renew their memberships timely.
