Abstract
In the context of the post-epidemic era, more attentions are paid to the impact of the environment on health. As the area for students to study and live, elementary school campuses should provide children with a supportive environment for health. This article outlines the development history of transparency, expounds the significance of transparency of space to children's physical and mental health, and summarizes the design method of applying transparency theory to the interior space of elementary schools. Among them, the physical transparency improves the exposure of the outdoor landscape and the recovering efficiency of children's attention, while the phenomenological transparency increases the permeability of the space and thus stimulates the enthusiasm of children for indoor activities. Finally, this article introduces the specific application of the transparent interior space in a primary school in combination with actual architectural cases, and discusses the possibility of achieving transparency in a four-dimensional space.
