La nef climatique 4.0: building city on a major axis

Abstract
Shared observation: The highway print … a place privileged of a climatic mobilization. On an international level, cities are already consumers of more than two thirds of energy, responsible for 70% of CO2 emissions, main gas for the greenhouse effect, and concentrate on a road proximity the highest air pollution levels. Urban road infrastructures represent regardless a high potential of urbanization sensible to contributing in raising these major civilizational challenges. Multifunctional response: Building city … on a major axis The cost of monofunctional infrastructure of a photovoltaic field on top of a highway increases the price of kWh. However, by creating the roof of a multifunctional urbanized space, it contributes in producing green energy, depolluting ambient air and creating living space without land consumption. That is the proposition of Nef Climatique 4.0. Opportunity in Strasbourg: Iconic prototype of Nef Climatique 4.0. A first multidisciplinary unit, the Climatic Arch, composed of expert architects, urbanists, energiticians, experienced and inserted into the local fabric were found around an already detailed holistic vision carried by the Strasbourg architect Guy Schneider. The aim is to develop a prototype on a semi-deep-sided one-km stretch of a motorway. presents existing cross-advantages of residential and cultural infrastructure, tertiary (including large shopping area), energy (power plants and networks), mobility (platform opportunity multimodal), etc. Objectives and means: at the crossroads of atmospheric urgency and technological innovation. The project aims to make heat zones profitable, locally produce green electricity & hydrogen and create a road pollution absorber with the following objectives: - Reduction of carbon footprints with the possibility of creating a Climate type plant - Production of photovoltaic electric energy and thermal production (by exchanger) distributed to a residential area (Hautepierre, Potteries) - Vegetation to depths of 300 m on either side, to increase the relative humidity of the surroundings and have CO2 absorbers, producing an increase in green areas of 40 ha / km (2x200mx1000ml) - Valuation of levels of commercial platforms, tertiary, parking facilities, etc. - Creation of a multimodal platform Numbers that speak for themselves: - Financialization of 27,000 m2 of surface area of activities in platforms in the NEF Climatique. - Gain of joint 42.7 ha of green areas (Increase in plant areas along the NEF climatique and decrease in polluted areas such as family gardens, some schools, local housing -Production of electricity: 7,500 photovoltaic panels (360 Wc) will have a power of 2.7 GWp and will produce approx. 2,500 GWh of electrical energy per year. - This represents the annual consumption of around 800 households. - Thermal production: 10,000 Concentration tubes will have an output of 3.7 GWth and will produce approx. 5,400 GWh of thermal energy per year. This represents the energy required to heat approx. 900 households per year. - Mobility support: 1 km of cycle path, 1 km of pedestrian area A transposable prototype: Such an “urban factory of values” based on innovative technologies then turns out to be viable, livable and equitable in an atmospheric, energetic, urbanistic, economic, environmental and social ecosystem: from its design, the transposability of this multifunctional approach is integrated.
